Course Title: Social and Organizational Impacts of Computing
Units: 3
Details: Analyzes the social opportunities and problems raised by new information technologies. Effects on quality of life, education, employment, personal privacy, organizational productivity, organizational structure, ethical values and regulations will be discussed. Students will gather and analyze data in some of the above areas to write papers which explore the concepts learned.
Prerequisite: Completion of the lower-division General Education requirement in Written Communication (A2) and Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning (B4).
